J2: The Deception

Both Drago and Sid heard Shendu's ferocious roars and screams at the same time and it put Sid on edge. "What is that?" he asked, not liking it. Drago rolled his eyes. "It's demonic yelling, stupid. My dad is really close and he's fighting with my uncle. You know, the one that stole Jade away? He-..." Drago stopped as he thought he smelled a familiar scent. One he hadn't smelled in years.

He sniffed again to make sure. His eyes widen in shock and his mind was frozen with disconcert. And another familiar scent was there as well. "No way..." he whispered to himself. Sid looked at him like he was a nut and wanted answers.

"What are you talking about? What do you mean, 'no way'?" Sid asked, but Drago began to run off on all fours quickly. "Come on!" he simply said as he took off. Sid groaned and ran as fast he could after the teen. What was going on now? Did he find Jade maybe? Sid hoped so. He wanted to find Jade and get out of this rotten place.

It wasn't easy keeping up with a fast kid like Drago, but when Sid finally did catch up to him, he was standing still like a statue several yards away from two figures in the distance. Panting, Sid asked him what was going on. Drago ignored him and kept staring to the two figures with his 20/20 vision.

"Mother..." Drago said quietly to himself, so quietly that Sid didn't hear him. The two figures came closer and closer. Sid's eyes widened with joy at the sight of Jade, alive and well. But there was another woman with her. Was she human?

Sid checked with his head gear which was still working. The '100% human' rating made him feel at ease. But who was this beautiful mysterious woman. In a rush, the other woman with Jade seemed to recognize Drago and ran to him.

"Drago! You're still alive!" Meechi cried, coming up to him and hugging him. Her motherly-love for him made her forget how evil he was and she showed no fear, which embarrassed him to death. Having Jade see him get hugged by his mommy was so mortifying that he wanted to disappear. Tough guys did not let their girlfriends see them get hugged by their moms. No way!

Jade was just as happy to see Drago, but for different reasons. As Meechi pulled away, Jade came closer to them and smiled. "I found her when I escaped from Hsi Wu. Sid, this is Meechi Sung. Meechi, this is Sidney Majors." Jade said, introducing them to each other. Sid nodded.

"It's good to see someone escaped the demonic hordes on Mars' moons, but tell me Miss Sung, why are you here?" Sid asked. Meechi shook her head. "I'm sorry, Mr. Majors, but I am not a Miss. I'm married...unfortunately. You may call me Meechi. And I do not know what you're talking about. I came here to save my son from this terrible place."

Sid looked confused. "Son?" Drago began to walk quickly away, trying to get them to forget the subject. "Hey, hello! We have to get out of here, not play twenty questions!"

Meechi did not want to be rude to Sid, so she answered him. "Yes, my son is over there. Drago." she said, pointing. Drago growled viciously. "Yes, alright, we all know that I have a human mother! Can we get going now? I'd like to get out of here sometime this eternity!"

Sid stared at Meechi in utter disbelief. This beautiful young woman was a mother? And that scaly dragon-of-a-teen's mom? Whoa! It was unbelievable and very disconcerting.

Meechi nodded. "My son is right. We have to find a way out immediately." she said. Jade agreed with her in a heartbeat. "Yeah, but how?" she asked, hoping someone had the answer.

Suddenly, Meechi let out a frightened shriek as she was grabbed and lifted up into the air. Jade turned to see that Hsi Wu had snatched her up and was flying off with her. Sid reacted instantly by shooting at Hsi Wu's wings. Drago climbed some rock formations and was able to jump off one that was high enough to attack his uncle from.

The fire-breathing teen clawed and bit at the Sky demon's backside, punching and hitting as well. "Let her go!" Drago roared, trying to stop his evil relative. Hsi Wu growled and hissed, trying to throw him off. "No one makes a fool out of me like this wench has, boy! Be gone!"

Hsi Wu slammed himself against rocks and cliffs, attempting to get the scaly kid off his back. Drago held on, ignoring the blows and kept on attacking. During these struggles, Meechi lost hold of her magical sword and it fell into one of the lakes of fire.

"NOOOO!!!" Meechi screamed, her only protection against Shendu and other demons lost. Hsi Wu started to laugh at her, when Drago jumped off his uncle's back and into the fire lake. Jade saw this from several yards away and was horrified. "Nooo! Drago!" she cried, worried that he might be hurt or killed.

Meechi was devastated. First her sword and now her only son? She was so shattered that she did not note on why did Drago go after the sword. It would only help her out, his lowly human mother. He hated anything to do with humans so why help them? Meechi cried viciously, pleasing Hsi Wu.

"Good! Now you can join that mistake my brother created!" he laughed and let her fall to her doom to the boiling lava lakes. Jade felt like it was deja vu all over again. Even though she didn't know Meechi for long, she felt close to her and they had so much in common. They were both plagued with demon troubles and they were both cursed by their awful kind.

Jade felt a whoosh of putrid air rush past her and nearly knock her over. She heard Sid cursing about what it might have been when Jade saw him. Shendu had rushed out to the fire lake and was levitating over it. He caught Meechi easily and breathed a steady stream of fire at his brother.

"Curse you, Brother Wu! You dare to attempt damage to my slave, you will answer to me!" Shendu hissed, holding Meechi like a rag doll, shaking her about like she was nothing more than a toy. Hsi Wu hissed back, letting out a shriek of rage as he fanned out his wings after he landed on a high ledge.

"Your threats do not scare me, Brother! Your slave will suffer eternal damage after I get my claws on her!" the Sky demon yelled, waving his fist. "No harlots of yours will disgrace me! She will suffer for her insults!" Hsi Wu and Shendu argued back and forth for a few moments, when suddenly Shendu screamed in pain.

He fell into the fire lake, thrashing wildly. His red blood sprayed out mixing with the fire below him. Jade had to squint to see since the boiling lava and flowing flames made it hard to see any details exactly. What happened? Sid commented of the situation himself.

"There's something sticking out of that demon's back!" Sid said, pointing. His weapons had run out of ammo and power, so they were useless. That was why he wasn't shooting Shendu or Hsi Wu moments before. Only the anti-gravity gun worked, but it was no use against such large demons.

Jade looked harder and saw that Sid was right. It looked like an arrow or maybe a spear? Whatever it was, it was definitely magical, most likely of good chi too.

Through his agony, Shendu had thrown Meechi away accidentally. Sid acted fast. He used the anti-gravity gun to catch her in mid-air and bring her back to 'safety'. Hsi Wu watched his brother writhe in severe pain with glee. He was very curious to see what or who caused Shendu such distress.

On a cliff higher than where Hsi Wu was perched on was a tall being that had the stink of man. He was covered head to toe in a scarlet red costume, complete with a mask concealing his identity. Even though his aura was covered with dark magic, the Sky demon didn't care. Food was food.

"Another one?" Hsi Wu grinned evilly. "It looks like chicken tonight...!" He took off towards the tall man in scarlet when he was hit with a strange spell that paralyzed him. He fell clumsily to the ground many feet below and his hatred grew instantly to being unbearable. Another human disgraced him! They must die!

Shendu fought to recover, but it was hard. He reached around to his back and pulled out something long and spiky. The spear was of dark magic, but the spikes were of good magic. It confused and angered Shendu immensely. Then he smelled another human and instinctively looked to where the scarlet warrior stood for a moment, then disappeared.

He growled hatefully and pulled himself out of the lava pool. As gallons of his blood spilled to the ground beneath his monstrous feet, he healed himself. Having to lose that much essence was beyond shameful. To his great annoyance, the humans were gone. Letting out a roar of frustration, Shendu released his fury against a nearby mountain.

The mountain broke into millions of boulders, their great slamming weight meant nothing to Shendu as they fell upon him. His mind was clouded with so much great intense hate, that he couldn't feel anything else.

"The humans will suffer a fate much worse than death! I will see to it!" Shendu growled and forced himself to calm his volcanic rageful mind. Then he went into hunt mode...

Jade, Sid, and Meechi ran for their lives towards where Meechi told them she felt a possible portal rip area. "If I can work my magic without distraction, I think I can open up some kind of hole. Going any place but here is worth it." Jade said, letting Meechi take the lead.

"I'll do my best to keep the demons at bay. Not really sure how I'll do it with all my weapons drained and being out of ammo, but I'll fight to the bloody end before any those monsters take me. I won't go quietly. I wonder what made those two huge demons back there fall like that." Sid wondered out loud.

Meechi answered him, sadly. "It's the same man with the dark evil chi. He's the one who attacked Shendu and Hsi Wu. He's helping us, but I want to know why. I can sense it. His heart is seduced by dark chi. The might of evil is strong, he seems to enjoy its power. Like...like my son..."

Jade bit her lip, feeling sad. She knew how Meechi felt and shared her pain. "I'm so sorry, Meechi..." she said, stifling back a sob that was catching in her throat. Jade wanted to be the one who got to end his life, but really deep down inside, she really cared about Drago. Even though he was a murderous half-demon monster, she only could remember the good times she had with him. If you called those times good that is. Jade did though.

Finally they reached the spot where Meechi said had portal rip potential. Jade went to work at summoning a portal, trying to make one that went to Earth or at least the Mars space base. Either was better than Hell, that was for sure. Jade just hoped she was doing it right. Usually she would borrow Uncle's fool-proof spells for something like this, but in this situation that wasn't an option.

Jade kept on expecting something bad was going to happen the entire time she was doing her chanting. It never failed before and it wasn't going to now. When Jade heard Sid and Meechi cry out in anguish, she turned to see Tso Lan was back. He was crushing Sid and Meechi with his long strands of killer hair.

"Child!" Tso Lan spoke, lashing his long tongue angrily. "You will release me from this Netherworld or else your friends die here and now." To show he wasn't fooling around, he increased his hold on his victims. Their screams made Jade cringe.

Jade rushed to the tall demon and begged, knowing it wouldn't do much good. But she was hoping that guy that was seduced by black magic would help her out. He always did before.

"Ok, ok! I'll let you out of here, Tso Lan! But I'm not too good at portal magic. It's difficult, sooo do you think you can help out? I mean, none of us are going anywhere if you can't help us-" Jade was whacked aside brutally into a nearby rocky wall. A very sharp rocky wall that was covered with crusty dried blood. Yuck!

Tso Lan narrowed his glowing red eyes at her. "A dirty pathetic human lie. I would never help your kind. Loathsome, decrypted, worthless trash, you dare ask for my assistance? Death be upon you all!" Jade's eyes widened at the sight of the Moon demon holding his four claws together, powering up some kind of dark energy attack.

Jade leapt out of the way in time as Tso Lan attacked her. She did a running charge at him, ready to kick the moon dust out of him, but his raven black locks wrapped themselves around her like midnight snakes.

"I do so enjoy peeling the flesh from my grapes. Especially when they scream when I do so..." Tso Lan said evilly, his left larger claw going for Jade's face. Meechi and Sid already passed out from Tso Lan's vicious strangling. Jade looked at them before she stiffened with fright and closed her eyes. This was it! She was going to find out how it was like to be a grape! No!

A blast of dark chi smacked Tso Lan in the face then, getting his attention. Jade heard the demon grunt in disgust and she opened her eyes. She saw a tall being, a man from what Meechi had said he was, dressed from head to toe in red scarlet. 'Good timing.' Jade thought, half-happy and half-bitter. This guy was cutting it a bit close.

"Let her go, demon scum!" said the man, pointing a barracuda-looking fish at Tso Lan like it was a machine gun. His voice was strange, muffled and deep. Jade didn't really recognize it.

Tso Lan laughed, his tones sophisticated and arrogant. "Foolish human! You may have delayed my two brothers, but you will not be able to stop me. You and your kind will rot here for all eternity." he said, matter-of-factly. He went forward towards the man, his claws out menacingly.

A low, deep inhuman growling could be heard coming from Tso Lan, the first time Jade ever heard him growl. He usually just lectured his enemies with sophisticated speech. He must be really REALLY mad to growl like that! The man in red began firing his fish weapon then, kinda like how Uncle would.

Jade found this strange and familiar. Was this one of his students?

Hope was lost when the man in red fell from Tso Lan's slashing blows. Jade felt sick as she saw blood ooze from this guy's wounds. She wished she wasn't so freaking useless right now!

"You dare think using black magic would aid you to do good and save your wretched kind? What a fool you are." Tso Lan said coldly and turned his attention back to Jade. "Enough of delaying the inevitable. Child, be honored as you'll be eaten alive by me. Most do not live long to experience such greatness, but I will ensure you stay alive to feel all the pain I have in store for you."

Jade began to struggle crazily then. "Sheesh, Tso Lan, why do you demons always have to be 'eat humans' or 'kill humans' and you guys think we're so stupid? Just drop this hatred thing, it's getting old!" she shouted, kicking his claws away as they came closer.

"You humans ARE foolish and you ALL need to be destroyed in the most horrendous ways imaginable. My hatred for your kind burns to no end, thus you must all DIE!" Tso Lan was about to really rip into Jade then when a sharp metallic whoosh cut through the air... Tso Lan's hostile left larger claw withdrew suddenly as it was sliced halfway through. The strands of hair holding Jade fell to the ground.

He screamed in horrific torment as Jade scrambled to get away from him, but she couldn't get far since her legs got tangled in the Moon demon's cut long hairs. Blood shot out in spurts, hitting Jade. She shielded herself as she turned away and covered her ears.

More metallic whooshing was heard and Jade could hear Sid and Meechi falling to the ground. She peeked to look and was filled with new hope.

"YOU!!!" Tso Lan roared when he saw Drago holding his mother's sword. "You dare harm upon me? A foolish thing to do..."

Drago lashed his tail about haughtily. "I dare whatever I want, Unc. And you're messing with my slave. No one messes with my slave, period!" The teen blew fire upon the injured Tso Lan, shoving him into a cave a few yards away with enough force to cause a cave-in.

Jade ripped the tangled demon hairs off her legs and raced to Drago. "Drago! You're ok! I thought you were- were-..." she couldn't say it, feeling awkward. If she showed that she was worried for his well-being, that meant she cared about him. That wasn't real smart since he was really her enemy. An enemy she had strong feelings for. Oh, why, oh why, did she have to fall in love with such an evil jerk who was her nemesis and current rival?

Drago snorted. "What? Dead? Come on, I'm a dragon! A lava pool is nothing to me. Fire is my essence, it makes me who I am. If you think a little Hell's fire can harm me, you're totally whacked. I mean, D-U-H!" He gave her a 'you're-so-stupid' look. Jade felt heat rushing up into her cheeks.

"Ch, you jerk-off! Fine! I sorry that I was worried about you! Your mom was crying her eyes out, do you think she's dumb too?" Jade cried, shaking with rage. He snorted again, contemptuously.

Jade waited for him to give an answer, but he didn't. He just went over to his mother and bent down to her. He put his claws out over her to heal her. Meechi woke up a few seconds later and was overjoyed to see her son over her. "Oh, Drago! You're alright!" She wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging with much love.

"Here, Mom." Drago said, giving her the sword back. It wasn't at all heavy to him, but to his mother it was like a lead weight. Still, it was her only protection against Shendu and his kind. Meechi's eyes were wet with happy tears. "Does this mean...you choose to follow in my ways?"

Drago looked annoyed and growled. "Mom...stop abusing me." he simply said and got up. He walked away, leaving his mother with hurt, mixed feelings. He wanted to be evil, but then again, giving his mom the sword back gave him a strange good feeling inside. Oh great, his human blood was making him feel goodie-goodie decency. His demon blood was totally disgusted with this.

Meechi noticed how burnt and wounded her son's hands looked. When she saw the bits of sticky melted dragon flesh on the sword's handle, she knew how Drago's claws got burnt. The sword was of good magic and those opposite of such magic would get burned severely. More tears flooded her eyes. He was half-demon, meaning he was stuck being evil. His human side couldn't change him. Meechi felt foolish hoping for such...

The man in scarlet rose to his feet groaning, seriously hurt. He held onto the rocky wall nearby for support. Jade urged Drago to heal him. "Hurry, Drago. Help this guy out, he saved my life before you got here. I think he can help me open a portal, his magic is strong." she said, pulling his heavy arm towards the man.

Since Meechi knew magic herself, she was able to help out Sid. She tenderly asked him if he was alright and Drago instantly disliked that. He felt like his mom was cheating on his dad by the way she was talking kindly to Sid.

As much as he didn't care if his mom had many boyfriends and/or husbands, the demon side of him always found human companionship absolutely sickening. Seeing and hearing Sid talk sweetly back to his mom make it more putrid. It was like they liked each other, *SNAP!*, just like that too. Stupid and sickening, that's what it was.

Irritably, Drago turned away. "Do I look like the 'healing fairy'? Forget it." he said, stubbornly. Jade began to argue with him. "Look at him! He NEEDS help! Come on! You're human too, even if it's only half! Don't be such a jerk!"

Meechi overheard the argument and definitely knew what that stance Drago had taken meant. He was not going to help, no matter what Jade said. Meechi remembered that defiant stance of Drago's since he did it many times with her when she wanted him to do things for her.

Meechi went to the guy in red and began to heal him. Jade glared angrily at Drago the entire time. As soon as the man in red was better, he leapt away from Jade and Meechi so he could attacked Drago. It caught both Jade, Meechi, and the fire-breathing teen off guard.

"Hey! Stop it! Stop!" Meechi cried, as Jade raced over to the quarrelling males. Jade had a hard time calming both boys down to a neutral position. She remembered going through this with Sid and Drago. What was this guy's problem?

"He has to die! He's a demonic monster!" the man in red shouted, trying to justify his outburst. Drago's scales rose high with hatred. "Hey, idiot! I'm the one who blasted my loony moony uncle to the next zip code, not you! From what I can see, he beat the snot out of you and you couldn't do squat!" Drago shouted back, growling and lashing his tail.

Jade shook her head. Men! "Would you two stop fighting! We have to get out of this place now! I need to concentrate and make a portal so we can actually do that. So, PLEASE, stop fighting!" she snapped, turning to the place where she tried to summon a portal in the first place.

The man in red went close to Jade, too close for Drago's comfort, and put his hands around Jade's expertly. "I can help you. I know how to summon portals. I'll teach you while I help you open one." he said in a fond tone, making Jade look at him. Who was he? He sure was friendly... But why? She didn't know him.

Drago growled a freaky eerie snarl/hiss growl, making Jade look at him then. "What?" she asked simply, annoyed that he scared her. "That idiot doesn't need to be THAT close to you to open portals! I'd do it myself, it's just I don't have the right spell with me. Doing that stuff from scratch isn't safe. You said so yourself, Jade."

"I'm teaching her how to do it right AND safely, demon! So shut your ugly mouth!" the man in red shot back, much hate in his voice towards Drago. The teen bowed mockingly. "So glad someone notices that I'm a demon. And ugly is you, masked man. I bet that's the reason why you have to hide your face!"

Sid rolled his eyes. "Come on, this bickering isn't getting us anywhere. Just hurry up with it already so we can get out of here!" Meechi wasn't strong enough to heal Sid completely, so he had to lean on her for support.

Sid thought Meechi wasn't so bad for a woman who had a nephilim for a son. She was beautiful and the waviest fullest curves he had ever seen in a long time on any woman. And best of all, she had a strong dislike for demons. She was a victim really, she deserved much better. Sid wanted to get to know her better, that was for sure.

Jade, he had to change his mind on her since she was a bit too young and she seemed to like that Drago character despite the fact that he was still part demon. Even though Sid was vaguely trying to come to terms with that beast, he really couldn't all the way in the end.

Now that Jade was found and back with them, the truce between Sid and Drago was over. They were enemies to the death again. With this new guy in red, Sid figured he might be alright, except for all the black magic stuff. He did approve of his demon hate very much so. But who was he exactly?

Nearly two heart-stopping  minutes went by, when at last a working portal appeared. The man in red began to practically shove everyone through the portal then. Drago went in last.

Soon, they were all safely through the portal and out on the other side. It looked like they were back on Earth too! It was becoming night as the sun was setting into a beautiful hue of rainbow colors. This was the planet she knew and loved.

Jade watched as Meechi hugged Drago as a loving caring mother would and gasped in utter surprise when she saw his arms go around his mother. He was actually hugging her back without being forced to! It was a sight to behold. He hugged her like he meant it and he was appreciating that she had come to save him from the pits of Hell.

It made Jade feel hopeful. Maybe she could change him to be different and not be evil anymore. Then she could be with him and not feel so guilty or weird about it. He could become human...really really human!

"Yes!" Jade said happily to herself.

"Yessssss...!" hissed an all too familiar voice. They all turned to see Shendu, proudly standing his full towering height.

Meechi was ready with sword in her hands. Jade felt like her brain would explode. Why him? And now and back on Earth too? She had hoped he would be stuck in Hell instead. Sid grit his teeth in despair. He had no working weapons that would be any use against this demon.

Drago scowled. He didn't want his dad coming back to Earth with them. He wanted to conquer the human world on his own. Had he seen him hug his mom like that? If he did, he would think he was weak. Drago was not a happy dragon.

The man in red aimed his fish weapon at Shendu, about to stun him when the demon sorcerer used his super speed to steal the fish away. He tossed it away like it was nothing more than a worthless sponge.

The Fire demon kept them all trapped from escaping against a mountain side. Jade wished she could find a way to stop him somehow.

"Meechi, my dear, you weren't planning on leaving me behind in Hell, were you?" Shendu said, his voice strained, like he was fighting for control over his rage. Meechi didn't reply as she knew it was a question that her horrid husband didn't expect an answer for. He already knew the answer and went on.

"Since you were, I will be forced to make you ALL suffer!" he hissed, breathing fire at them. The man in red was able to chant a special spell to protect them, except Drago. He simply leapt a safe distance out of the way.

The man in red chanted another quick spell and empowered Meechi's sword. "Give me that sword so I can kill the demon!" he said, reaching for it.

Meechi yanked away and refused. "NO! He's mine to subdue! I'm not afraid of him!" she cried and went outside the protection shield the man in red created. Jade screamed at her to stop.

"NO! Meechi! Don't!" she cried and tried to go to her. She left the protection shield too and the man in red dropped the shield then. "Jade!" he cried. Drago then rushed to Jade and grabbed her right hand and held onto her left shoulder, stopping her. Sid shouted at her too. "Are you crazy? Stop!"

Meechi went up bravely to Shendu and glowered at him. He raised his massive left claw over her, ready to strike. "You wouldn't dare harm me, Meechi. I'm your dear sweet husband and I love you dearly... You'd never attack your only real friend and liberator..." he said, playing a mind game on her.

She did not falter or succumb whatsoever. "No, Shendu! You were never my friend! You never loved me! You tricked me and cursed me! I will not back down to you anymore! Suffer like I've suffered!" she yelled, her fear was no longer there. She would punish him at last. Real punishment where he felt terrible pain instead of her. And that she was the deliverer of that deserved pain.

"HAHAHAAA! Don't make jokes, my dear! It's not becoming of you!" Shendu laughed at her, finding her pathetic threats humorous. Just the same, he would not allow her to get away with stating such threats to him.

Meechi dodged a quick swipe from Shendu, an attack which would have easily taken her legs clean off. In her mind, the words, 'thrust the sword into his chest' repeated over and over. She waited for her chance to strike him in the heart. All she needed was for him to fall on his back or dive forward for her, anything so she could reach his chest.

She decided to cripple his legs so he would be forced to fall. She was about to do that when he grabbed her like a doll again and brought her to his face. He roared ferociously at her, nearly making her go deaf.

Shendu breathed fire and heat beams from his eyes on her then. She held the sword up as a shield just in time. It protected her well, deflecting his fire and beams away. He quickly stopped, startled that the sword could divert his attacks like that. She recovered from that assault and began to saw at his wrist quickly.

The magical enhanced blade cut through his dragon armor like butter. Shendu shrieked in misery, his blood raining down below. Meechi thought she saw a talisman surface from his wound, then disappear as Shendu healed himself hastily. She fell back to the ground as he dropped her. She had to get those things out of him!

Jade was getting an idea of her own and knew the spell how to take out the magical Talismen from Shendu's body. She was glad she had it memorized too. But where would she get ingredients? Presently, she had the answer. They were surrounded by a large forest and the ingredients for this magical balm spell would be in a place like this.

She rushed off to gather them, confusing the others. "What are you doing?" Sid asked, watching her go off into some tall grass. "I know how to make this special balm to take the magical talismen out of Shendu. They give him his powers. Come on, help me! We don't have much time!"

The man in red understood. "I know that spell. Here, I've already found the first three ingredients. They're right here." Jade was ecstatic. "Great! All we need now are two more things. Sage and rosemary." Sid raced off to find those items. He was all for stopping demon power.

Sid came back with the last ingredients with much enthusiasm. "I found some! Here, make that potion quick!" he said, giving the herbs to Jade. The man in red help Jade create the balm and Jade found him very helpful. He seemed to be more advanced at magic than she was. Instead of being annoyed or jealous, she was grateful for this since they needed all the help they could get.

Jade poured the balm on everyone's hands, except Drago's since he was no where to be found. "Hey where's Drago?" she asked, but the man in red deemed Drago's whereabouts extremely unimportant.

"There's no time! Here's what you must all do! Get near the demon and reach into his flesh. The balm will let you draw out those talismen no problem. Let's go!" he cried and ran to the Fire demon.

Jade disliked being taken over like that, but that guy was right. There was no time. She hurried over to Shendu as fast as she could. While Jade and the others were creating the balm potion, Meechi was able to do what she had wanted to do all her life.

She was able to cause her husband to lose his footing as she slashed at his ankles. As Shendu fell backwards with a earth-cracking boom, she jumped onto his body and ran to his chest. With a war-like shriek of justice, she plunged the sword to the hilt into his chest.

Shendu immediately began to roar and scream as blood sprayed from his chest wound. He gagged on the blood leaking into his esophagus, which was cut open from the sword. He coughed and wheezed hard, his fire exploding from his jaws and his opened damaged chest.

He knocked Meechi away as he tore the sword from his chest and screamed again from having to touch the sword. He threw it away as fast as he could and clutched his chest, suffering greatly. Meechi savored her small victory of justice. This was payback for all the torment he had given her all the days she knew him.

Blood splashed down onto the grass and the stench was overpowering. Shendu struggled to recover, using his Horse Talismen to heal himself. Since it was good chi magic that wounded him in the form of a sword, the symbol of the Immortal who defeated him, it was harder to heal himself. It took longer to fix this damage than regular attacks made by humans.

Immortals were angels and what Shendu used to be himself. In a way, they were his kind, but not evil. So their power and blows were more on level with his than humans and their attacks were very effective to cause him great harm. He feared his siblings when they ganged up on him, but he feared the Immortals more, especially their leader the most. His power was immeasurable and his wrath against evil was perfect justice, perfect punishment. He was feared by all demons, respected by angels, and for good reason too.

Good chi was not easy to overcome. The Immortals were blessed with more power than Shendu got from his new leader, so they were not a force to trifle with. Unless you liked to get your butt kicked in a split-second and defeated the next split-second. How Shendu hated those Immortals and their good chi powers! He could never win against them.

He was at last healed, but his pride was still in the same damaged state as his chest was when Meechi first stabbed him. That Meechi! She, she actually did stab him! And with an enchanted good chi sword! Immediately he wanted to kill her, but remembered quickly that was what she wanted all along. Especially now that their stupid son was back on Earth, safe and sound.

'I'll NEVER release her..!' Shendu thought, biting his tongue angrily. 'She will SUFFER my wrath full force and death will not come to save her from the great agony I have waiting for her! She WILL be punished for her betrayal against me!'

He lifted himself out of his blood pool and staggered to where he had thrown Meechi. His eyes glowed with supreme fury, his chest rising and falling quickly. He had to be careful not to kill her just the same as his hate for her now was at its peak.

He could barely stand it. Killing her would feel so wonderful, but it would be letting her off easy. He wanted to torture her and rape her at the same time. Feed upon her flesh as he forced himself upon her, all kinds of unspeakable acts of animosity and violence. ANYTHING to make her SUFFER like how he just suffered!

Jade was horrified to see Meechi struggling to get to her feet from a previous attack from Shendu when he mercilessly kicked her like a football into a nearby tree. The way Meechi's body sounded when she hit the tree was disturbing. Her screams were even worse. Her sword was way too far away from her, she would never be able to get it in time.

Then Shendu pounced on Meechi like how a cat would jump upon a mouse. He picked her body up in his jaws and bit down while swinging her back and forth violently like she was a doggy chew toy. Meechi's screams pleased Shendu to no end. He savored it just like how he enjoyed sex.

He bit down harder, loving the taste of her blood spraying into his mouth. He fought hard not to swallow her or chew her into pieces. He would NOT kill her. He would make her SUFFER a Hell on Earth that could rival the real Hell's horrors. He slammed her against the tree over and over while he held her firmly in his jaws.

Meechi's blood splashed everywhere as he beat her like that. He stopped for a moment to molest her broken body with his tongue. The lust spell over her caused her to moaned in delight even in her battered condition. It made Shendu chuckle evilly as he continued to violate her.

Meechi's eyes flowed with heavy shameful bloody tears as she expressed her cursed pleasure. He was humiliating her yet again. It was destroying her inside mentally.

Jade, witnessing this terrible scene, could not take anymore as she screamed in horror and rage as she charged the demon. She reached deep into his left foot and grabbed two Talismen, pulling them out fast.

Shendu dropped Meechi into a bloody heap at his feet and kicked Jade away. Jade gasped for air after she landed, the wind knocked out of her. She checked her hands and saw the Sheep and the Tiger. Darn it!

Shendu hissed angrily. "My Talismen! Accursed child!"

Sid and the man in red attacked then. The Fire demon turned his attention to his other attackers, either kicking, swiping, or punching them away. Only the man in red was able to retrieve one Talismen, the Monkey.

A fast sweep of his fire breath kept them all away for the time being as the grass under Shendu and the bushes near him burned. Jade was very VERY worried for Meechi. She didn't even want to imagine what kind of pain she was definitely in.

Hiding by the wall of flames, Shendu bent down to Meechi's torn bloody, yet living body. Her distressed moans and cries of agony pleased him, but she still needed to be properly punished. He ran his acid-dripping tongue over her broken body, tasting her sweet blood again and savoring her horrific shrieks of anguish as his acid burned her wounds.

"Meechi! Did you think you could harm me like that, cause me such horrific suffering and humiliation...and expect to get away with it? Or perhaps you thought you could get some insignificant 'justice' and make me angry enough to kill you?" he hissed, his fiery mouth blistering with flames as he spoke. Meechi refused to look at him.

"ANSWER ME!!!" Shendu shouted at her, clawing her chest with a quick swipe. Meechi couldn't even scream anymore. She whimpered and cried miserably, but did have an answer. "You're a heartless demon... You know the reasons why I betray you... But you don't want to understand them... You don't care..."

Shendu stared at her surprised and annoyed. "I don't need to care or understand your reasons, Meechi. You AGREED to MY terms those years ago when I first found you defiling my temple and I SPARED your worthless life! And this is the thanks I get?" he growled, his fire making her skin melt slowly. Meechi's mind teetered on the edge of insanity from his lack of caring to understand her side. It was a battle she could never win with him.

Her skin was so badly damaged that her nerves stopped sending pain since they were melted away. She was able to continue her argument with her husband with better replies.

"What about the wrongs you've done to me? That's why I want our 'agreement' to end! There's no use in reasoning with you, Shendu! Your kind doesn't care about anything fair or honoring reason! Just kill me! Do you hear me? Kill me! Kill me now!!" she said as forcefully as her body would allow.

Shendu laughed sexily, tracing his claws over her throat seductively. "Mmm, you'd love that wouldn't you? For me to just do you a sweet favor like that... You're too wise, my dear... You know that I could care less to reason with you, to just accept your human ways of fairness and give you relief in the form of death. Unfortunately for you that I'm a demon sorcerer that has sworn to turn his back against all reason and fairness! I DESSPISSSE ALL AND ANYTHING GOOD!"

He stood up and viciously slammed his clawed foot on her body then. "I'm going to keep on making you suffer for eternity, there will be NO end! I will give you a new meaning of Hell on Earth, Meechi!"

Shendu blasted her with flames from his claws while he pressed down with his foot, crushing and burning her at the same time. Meechi wished she could die somehow, some way. It would be a much needed escape from this torment. Her mind could not stand this abuse anymore. She would snap into insanity and then, Shendu would win even more so.

"NOOOO!!! LET ME DIE! KILL ME!!! KILL ME!!!" she shrieked hoarsely, growing crazy from the intense unspeakable fresh pain. Suddenly, splashes of blood flew onto her. At that same moment, Shendu let out shrieks of pain that made Meechi's cries seem silent. Through Meechi's great agony, she heard his voice loud and clear.

"Hey, Dad! Mind if I borrow these?"

Drago had Meechi's sword in his left claw and three other Talismen in his right claw. He had cut them out of his father manually without any balm. He proudly held the bloody items up and they were the Rat, the Dog, and the Dragon.

Without the Rat Talismen, Shendu continued to scream in torment as his body slowly changed back to stone. Meechi dropped her head back into her pool of blood and closed her eyes. Drago was helping her or was he only helping himself to his father's powers?

A thunderous thud was heard as Shendu's coiled stone form fell to the ground, his remaining Talismen still in his stone-skin sockets.

"YOU ACCURSED LOATHSOME INSOLENT BRAT! CURSE YOU!!! CURSE YOU!!!" Shendu roared, his red eyes glowing like fire. "TRAITOROUS DISGUSTING HUMAN TRASH, YOU'LL NEVER BE A DEMON! CURSE YOU ALL TO HELL!!!"

Drago painfully let go of the sword then, his dragon flesh obviously burned to the bone. A lot of his skin clung to the handle of the sword and his red blood flowed down, adding to the blood already on the sword. His father's words hurt him, more than the good chi searing the skin off his palms and fingers. But he did love him mother still, even if it was a small percentage...

"Shut the f-ck up Dad! To Hell with you, you're just mad because I beat the sh-t out of you, just admit it!" Drago snarled, attempting to absorb the Talismen into his broken palms, but it didn't work. Shendu noticed this and belittled him hatefully.

"Idiotic child! You can not do what I can do! You're only half of what I am and that is not enough to be one of my kind... You are my foolish project that has FAILED ME UTTERLY!" Shendu screamed, fire exploding from his frozen stone mouth. Drago shielded his face and moved away in time.

"Yeah, I love you too, Dad." Drago said, sarcastically. He went over to his mother and the slightest touch made her cry out in severe unimaginable pain. "Mom..." Drago said, fighting back the hated embarrassing tears in his eyes. "You're abusing me so much with this f-ing human love crap, I can't stand it!"

He turned his face away to fight back the teetering hot tears, but they fell down his scaly cheeks. Meechi saw them, giving her new hope. "I don't know why I saved you... Maybe it was the demon in me... That I want to torture you for myself for disappearing those years ago, but...t-the...hu-...human in me..." The way he said the word human, it was like he was being strangled. Like he was too humiliated to even say it himself.

"I-...I- F-ck! Sh-t!" he cursed at himself, holding his torn bloody claws to each side of his head, like he was fighting a war inside his head. Was he a demon or a human? He couldn't be both! But he was and both sides were tearing him apart inside.

Meechi was struck by his demeanor and his shaking words. Was he actually...acknowledging his human side and ignoring the evil in him at last? Maybe...maybe he could end her suffering.

"I beg you...my son...Kill me now..." Meechi wheezed, knowing if he did, she could finally escape Shendu's curse. Drago placed his mutilated claws on her chest and healed her shoddily. She was not in so much pain anymore, but she was heartbroken. She wanted to die so badly...

"I don't do favors, Mom..." Drago said, getting up and taking off into the forest with the three Talismen still in his ruined claws. Meechi screamed for him to come back. "DRAGO!!! NO!!! COME BACK!!!" She bowed her head and sobbed emotionally. "My son... My son... Noooo..."

Jade was able to see all that happen, but only from a distance due to the heat from the flames still burning magically. The man in red chanted a strange spell to snuff out the flames, but it took a long time. Jade was so blown away, she couldn't barely get her brain to register all what she had seen. It was taking a really long time to sink in.

Sid was in the same state as well. He had never seen anything demon help out humans like that. Could it be genuine? The man in red trusted none of it. As far as he was concerned, it was all a trick to get on Jade's good side. He knew she was under spell or something the way she behaved towards that beast.

Jim wouldn't let Jade know who he was just yet in this red outfit, now wasn't the time. He would have to break the spell upon her and get her to understand that he loved her more than a freak of nature could. He would win Jade over, he swore to it. He was not going to give up on her, no way!

Shendu was full of animosity for all at this point, especially towards Meechi. Her crying disgusted him greatly.

"Be silent, you filthy traitorous wench! I spared your life, saved you from poverty, made your dying father happy, I pleasured your worthless body! I gave you these gifts and you repay me by spawning me flawed garbage! May you live in torment for eternity!" Shendu growled, his fury so thick you could actually see it.

Meechi picked up the sword from the ground and shuddered as she felt her son's melted skin infused to the handle. "Remove the curses you placed on me now! Or I'll cut you up in pieces!" she threatened, not afraid of him still and very angry. Shendu hissed hatefully, drained of too much power to breathe any more fire out of his stone mouth.

"I rather be downgraded than grant you anything beneficial, treacherous human!" Shendu snapped, hating her more than he ever could before. What a traitorous insolent slave! And with a stupid son to match!

Meechi drove the sword into the middle of his head with all her might. The sword didn't go down far, but it did cut him. His stone flesh clipped away, spider-webbing into cracks as he hollered in miserable agony.

    "STOP! STOP!!! ARRGGHHH!!!"

Meechi felt some justice as she saw some blood leak through and fill the cracks her sword made in his skull.

"Why should I, demon? WHY? You're nothing, but a hateful monster, Shendu! All your kind is!!!" Meechi yelled, stabbing again and again, driving the sword in deeper. Shendu howled in pain, his blood bleeding through thick and red. It flowed out and over the sides of his stone face. She then began hacking away at his coiled sides like a maniac and screaming in rage until Sid stopped her.

She wept into his chest, knowing she was still cursed. It just wasn't fair. She should have won! Shendu's tormented cries and moans of pain were wearing on Jade's nerves.

"Shut up, Shendu! I can just banish you back to Hell where you belong, you know! My Uncle and Jackie and I banished you before and we can do it again! And dumb old Wong won't EVER resurrect you again, that's for sure! If only I had the Dragon Talisman, I'd kill you again!" Jade yelled, kicking his stone coils.

Shendu growled viciously at Jade, making the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. "Curse you, child! My hate for my wife is nearly equal to the hate I feel for you and your uncles! Do not think you are safe from me! A new fool will come along and free me from this accursed prison of stone! I've waited for almost thousand years in this form and time is nothing to me. I can never die, foolish humans! I WILL haunt ALL your dreams and lives forever!"

Jade growled back. "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" she screamed, kicking again. The man in red pulled her away and held her. "Don't let this monster get the best of you, Jade. That's what he wants. Don't give him ANY pleasure!"

Angrily, Jim went to Shendu's stone body and bravely removed the other Talismen from him. "You will also pay for your treachery against me, human!" the demon hissed. Jim just ignored him and walked away. "You dare disregard my words? Idiotic disgusting human trash! Play with dark chi and you will become one of us..."

That got Jim to reply. "Shut your foul lying mouth, beast! Be silent!" He chanted a special silencing spell and it caused Shendu to be unable to talk to them anymore temporarily.

"Let's get this monster back to Section 13 and lock him back up." Jade said. Meechi bit her lip. "I'm so sorry for releasing him in the first place... This is all my fault..."

Sid hugged her. "No, it's not. You had no choice. You cared about your son like any good mother would." He looked at Jade then. "I'll stay here and watch him until you can call your workers to come with machinery to move this frozen demon." Meechi then said, "I'll stay and help you. I still feel responsible. I must make things right by doing what I can."

Jade nodded. "Thanks Sid. And thank you Meechi. I'll be back as soon as I can." She began to walk into the woods to find a road so someone could drive her to a phone. Jim decided it was time to leave then, but he wanted to make sure Jade got back home safely. And that Shendu was put away for good.

"I'll help you, Jade." he said, following her deep into the forest. Jade gave him a funny look. "I appreciate you wanting to help, but I'm a big girl. I can get help on my own."

Jim would not leave her no matter what. "I understand and respect that, but please, allow me to help you anyway."

"Well, alright... But why? Why did you help me and everyone back there and how'd you get in Hell in the first place? Who are you anyway?" Jade asked, making Jim nervous. Should he reveal his identity to her? What would she think of him? It was his fault she was sent to those awful places in the first place. Was she angry with him?

"I followed that demon Shendu with that Meechi woman when the demon made a portal to that space station and then she went into another portal which lead to Hell. I followed in after Shendu went in too. I had to help you, Jade. I just had to... It was all my fault..." he said the last sentence more to himself in a hushed guilty tone.

"What? Whoa, whoa, wait." she said, waving her hands. "How'd you know I was there anyway? The only person that would know that is..." Jade gasped hard when she realized the truth then. Her eyes were wide with surprise and shock. Jim sighed, knowing his secret was figured out, and took off his mask for her.

"Yeah, it's me..." he admitted, tucking his mask away in his belt pouch. Jade blinked a couple of times and just stared at him. Then she punched him in the shoulder.

"Jim! Why didn't you tell me right away it was you? Sheesh, you could have gotten killed!" she cried, but he answered back with great force.

"NO! YOU could have gotten killed! Don't you understand, Jade? I can't let anything happen to you! Especially when it was my magic that sent you there!" he yelled, grabbing onto her arms and shaking her a little.

"Jim..." she breathed, amazed by his bravery to go to Hell to save her and shocked by his sudden outburst. She looked into his eyes and sensed the dark chi in him. No! He couldn't have! She turned away in sadness. Uncle and Tohru forbid all their students to use dark magic.

"What's wrong, Jade?" he asked, confused. "Why'd you look at me that way?"

"Jim! How could you? How could you turn to black magic? Just to save me? I'm not worth it!" she cried, worried for him. Jim narrowed his eyes.

"Of course you're worth it! You're more than worth it! Don't ever say you're not! Don't!" he yelled, pulling her to himself and hugging her hard. "I had to do what I had to, to save you..."

"Oh, Jimbo..." Jade cried, hugging him back. He then made her look at him again. She still saw that darkness and it scared her. She had grown used to Drago's evilness, he was evil from day one. But Jim... He wasn't evil, he shouldn't be evil!

She knew all about how it was too. It had corrupted her before many times, the first time being the Queen of all Shadow Khan. She was lucky that Uncle, Jackie, and Tohru were able to save her. She didn't want Jim to end up some evil being who wanted to stay evil. No way.

He tried to kiss her then, but she stopped him. "Jim, promise me something." she said, pressing her finger to his lips.

    "What?"

"Promise me you'll never do black magic anymore, ok?"

Jim kept staring into her eyes, looking a bit crazed. Crazy for her. "If I can just have you, I'll do whatever you want." he said, starving for her love. How he wanted her badly, it was driving him insane.

Jade sighed. "Jim, you should just do it no matter what. I told you before how it screwed up my life and look how the demons are still after me. Just give it up, please!"

Jim bit his lip. "I'll try." he said, letting her go, feeling defeated. She didn't want to kiss him, he could tell. At first, he thought it was because he still wasn't good enough for her, but then he decided against that notion. He had to be good enough, not just anyone could go to Hell and back to save someone they loved.

He figured it must be because of the time. They just escaped Hell and he just showed her who he was. All very dramatic events. Of course, now wasn't a good time for a kiss. Maybe he could express his affections at a better, less stressful time.

"Thanks, Jimbo. I really appreciate it. Oh, give me those Talismen. They have to go back in the vault." she said, holding her hand out. Jim gave them to her. He didn't like to give them up, but he didn't want to make Jade think he was against her. He had to prove himself to her somehow and get her to choose him over that Drago monster.

Seeing how he looked downhearted from her slight rejection, she took his chin in her hand and pushed his bowing sad head up. "Chin up, Jimmy. After I get something to eat and a lot of sleep, you and I are going to Melvin World for the whole day. Is that okay with you?"

Jim never liked being called 'Jimmy' since the bullies used his name to belittle him in a special horrible way, but it was alright for Jade to call him that. Hearing her offer to spend a day at Melvin World with him was just wonderful.

He immediately perked up. She actually and finally asked HIM on a date! Well, sorta. Melvin World wasn't a fancy restaurant or anything, but it was better than nothing.

"That'd be really great!" he said, smiling. Jade smiled back. "Well, duh. Melvin World is much better than that other amusement park with that silly mouse as the mascot. Let's get rotten Shendu and his Talismen put away first though."

Jim agreed and eventually they found a road and traveled along it until a car stopped to take them to the nearest town to call for help. Jade held Jim's hand the entire time, making him very happy. She did still like him, all he had to do now was get her to love him...
