J2: The Deception

Drago woke up alarmed as Jackie shook his shoulder. "Um, it's almost nine." he said and jumped back as Drago leaped up. He instantly began to curse angrily.

"Argh! I fell asleep! I can't believe it! How could I fall asleep when Jade's dying?! D-mn, d-mn, d-mn, D-MN!!!" In a rage, he threw the heavy metal chair he was sitting in across the room.

"Drago, calm down! Everyone has to sleep, even you!" Jackie said, taken back by his show of strength. Drago snarled viciously, a demonic gurgling growl that bothered Jackie.

"Demons don't have to sleep! I shouldn't have to either! I'm part demon, why can't these human limits leave me?! I HAVE to save Jade..! I have to!" Drago cried, his tightly clenched fists shaking.

"Yelling about it won't help, Jade. We must continue our research, but we can't do a good job if we don't sleep or eat. Come on into the kitchen. I can make you some tea. Then when Tohru gets up, he will cook us breakfast."

Drago hung his head as he followed Jackie to the kitchen. He was pretty hungry and he still felt exhausted. It was hard to sleep in a chair while resting your head on your arms. He stretched hard, trying to loosen up his tight muscles.

He almost went into the kitchen when he looked over to Jade, still a large monstrous creature. He went over to her and hugged her long dragon face. He ran his claws through her tangled black hair, tears stinging his tired eyes.

'I can't lose you, Jade. Not now, not ever!' he thought, letting go of her face and neck. 'I don't think that partial immortality spell I put on you will be strong enough to counter Dad's curse...'

He couldn't chance it by hoping that the Dog Talisman in his body would keep Jade from dying. His father's spells usually counteracted his own Talismen if they were fighting against one another.

Yet...maybe he could still try the Horse Talisman on Jade anyway. Just in case. He was about to go get it from Section 13 when Jackie called for him.   He saw him trying to leave then.

"Drago? Where are you going?" Jackie asked, confused.

"You'll find out when I get back." he replied and exited out the back door. He used his dragon speed to get to Section 13 in no time. He did his best to ignore his hunger, Jade was more important than feeding his needs.

Once there, the teen transformed into his human disguise quickly. Entering as Drake was a piece of cake and he made his way to the Talismen Vault.

Due to his rank here, he had all the clearance he needed to gain access to those stone chips. It wasn't long before he had the Horse Talisman in his hand, but before he went racing back to Uncle's Shop, he checked his father's holding cel.

He opened the vault door, ready to claw his father's stone body to bits when he saw the room was half destroyed and empty. What happened here? Who let him out??

Surprised to see that his father was gone, he alerted the other agents to this. Since he was Jade's second-in-command, he made the order to find Shendu immediately and have him destroyed at all costs.

It would take too much time to cast the spell that made Shendu into stone and you would need a bunch of people to do it as well. Destroying him was the best option now.

'I've had enough of you, Dad...' he thought darkly. 'You really did it this time. You better hope I don't find you...because I won't hesitate to kill you!' He left then to get back to Uncle's shop.

When he returned, Uncle and Tohru were up and eating breakfast with Jackie in the kitchen. Drago ignored them and activated the talisman on Jade.

To his great disappointment, it did nothing. She stayed the same and angrily, he slammed the talisman on the floor. It rolled away under the couch and out of sight.

Due to his sharp gruff outburst, the human men hurried to the living room. "Drago? What happened?" Jackie asked, looking about. He thought he heard something hit the floor hard.

"I... I thought the Horse Talisman might help cure Jade, but it didn't do a d-mned thing! Rrrgh! Dad's going to pay dearly for this sh-t! I swear I'll f-cking kill him! D-mn it!" the fiery teen growled, his claws piercing his palms, blood flowing out slowly.

Drago crumbled to the floor, crying sorrowfully. His very human-like sobs were that of a torn man weeping for his loved one. Jackie, Uncle, and Tohru were shocked by this. Especially Uncle.

How could an evil demon spawn have any compassion at all?? Especially compassion as this...?

Jackie bent down to Jade's fiancé and tried to help him to stand up, but the teen knocked him away viciously .

"I DON'T want any of your d-mn pity!" he snarled ferociously. Uncle's first doubtful thoughts were restored, though now he was fairly convinced that Drago did love Jade. He just didn't want to acknowledge such a thing since he disliked Drago so much.

The dragon hybrid stood up and wiped his eyes, savagely swiping the tears away. Great, just great! That was the last thing he needed. Letting his true feelings for Jade show in front of these humans. How much more torment could he stand?

He irritably went back to researching the books again. The other men joined him, all of them working diligently for the spell that would cure Jade and save her life.

Seconds turned into minutes. Minutes turned into hours and soon the sun was setting. Then it was dark and still hours after the night had settled in, they found nothing that could help them.

Drago would not give up. He still had some time left, so he was hopeful. As another precious hour passed, Tohru cried out in happiness.

"Look! Look! I think I might have found a spell that could work!" he said excitedly. Drago nearly knocked over an antique table that stood in his way as he ran to the big man.

"Show me!" Drago said, snatching the book away from Tohru. The Japanese man pointed out key factors in the spell that would aid them in undoing Shendu's curse.

"See here, it says we must pour a sea salt circle, create these markings on the floor, and stand in the correct places while we cast the spell. Thing is we have to do it for ten minutes. Straight and without stopping." Tohru said, explaining.

"What the h-ll are you waiting for?! Let's get this spell going! NOW!" Drago shouted, quickly reading over the incantations himself so he knew what to chant later.

"Yes, but there's one thing..." Tohru tried to say, but Drago wasn't in the mood to let him go on.

"F-ck it! Where's some sea salt? I want this spell ready to go immediately!" the teen yelled, going to where he sensed Uncle's magical ingredients.

Tohru sighed forlornly. He wanted to say that the spell didn't seem complete since it ended so abruptly on the page it was printed and when he turned to the next page, there was nothing about the spell's ending.

He hoped it didn't mean anything bad or that there were pages missing in this spell book. He wouldn't be able to live with himself knowing he failed to help save Jade's life.

The men studied the spell as fast as they could. Drago didn't have too much trouble memorizing it, but this spell would actually harm him since it was of good chi magic.

He didn't care though. He had to save Jade, no matter what the cost. He would stubbornly put up with the good chi until Jade was human again and free of Shendu's death spell.

The fiery teen made sure the preparations for the spell were arranged and they were standing in the right places. The chanting began.

After only two minutes of the constant good chi chanting, Drago felt aches and pains spreading through him. He shrugged off these flu-like symptoms and kept on reciting the spell's magic words.

Once six minutes rolled around, Drago could tell his demonic evil side couldn't stand this spell much longer. He had terrible urges to attack Jackie, Uncle, and Tohru just because they were there. And especially because they were saying those accursed good chi words.

Jackie was very disturbed to hear how Drago's voice kept having underlying tones of a growling demonic beast ready to attack and kill. It was like he was struggle not to explode in rage while he chanted on with them.

Uncle was ready just in case Drago lost it and tried attack them. Thankfully he didn't and the spell was finally done after four minutes later.

Jade's body was glowing during the last two minutes of the spell, then the glow was gone when they stopped chanting. She was still a dragon beast and she was no longer breathing! Did the spell make her die early??

Drago was utterly confused and filled with dread as he tried shaking her in hopes to somehow make her wake up. Uncle felt a lump grow in his throat as he watched Jade's head flop back and forth like a rag doll.

"Jade?? Jade! Wake up! Come on, you have to wake up! Jade!! JADE!!!" Drago shouted. He couldn't believe this was happening. This couldn't be happening!

Jackie was tapping Jade's massive claw, begging her to wake up too. He grimly felt her wrist and there was no pulse.

"She's..." Jackie turned his head away, tears brimming his tightly closed eyes. "...gone..."

Drago stared at Jackie in disbelief, not wanting to believe it. He began to flip out, shouting at Tohru saying he must have had them do the spell incorrectly.

"No I didn't! I followed exactly what the book told us to do. We didn't make any mistakes." Tohru said, trying to defend himself.

Drago clenched his fists and teeth, struggling not to kill them all. He was so hurt and broken from this that he couldn't hardly stand it.

This terrible feeling rivaled the painful feeling he had when Meechi refused his advances. He was denied the women he truly wanted and the one he really could have was dead!

"Then why is she dead?! WHY!? D-MN IT!!!" he screamed, roaring. He angrily punched out the doorframe to Uncle's room with all his spell ingredients. The frame cracked and splintered, pieces of wood shot out and littered the floor.

The fiery teen let out a horrific shrieking roar of many screams in one. The other men had to cover their ears due to his ear-splitting howls.

After that vicious cry of misery, Drago dragged his claws along the side of the wall as he dropped to his knees and cried again. Hard.

Uncle watched this child of Shendu cry his heart out, feeling pretty guilty for saying he was a heartless monster. He clearly wasn't. At least not when it concerned Jade.

Tohru had to leave the room since Drago's wailing was freaking him out. He sounded like some inhuman beast struggling to breathe and cry all at once. The big man went to his room and hid his face in his hands.

He failed Jade! He was such a terrible chi wizard! He didn't deserve to ever be one. He didn't know how he could go on without Jade's spunky friendship. She was like the daughter he never had. And now she was gone!

Jackie kept his head bowed and turned to the side as he cried too, though more silently. He didn't know what to do or think, he felt so numb inside. He felt so much pity for Drago, it hurt. A lot.

Suddenly, Drago slammed his fists to the floor, then stood up fast. He turned around, his green scales shining from his tears.

"I'm going to kill him..." Drago growled in such a low tone that Jackie backed up fast.

"Kill who?" Jackie asked, getting out of his way when he stomped past. Drago's claws flamed up as he thought of Shendu.

"That disgusting monstrosity that gave me life! He only made me so he could torture me! D-mn him, I HATE him!" the teen hissed, about to explode soon. He had to get out of there.

He knew he would kill those three men anytime soon just to ease his painful frustrations. But before he went, he forced himself to look at Jade one last time. Tears dripped out as he blinked in sorrow.

He gathered her up in his arms and held her tightly, his tears never stopping. Then he kissed her the best he could on her dragon lips. He buried his face into her neck and whispered his affections out loud, not caring if the others heard him.

"...Nothing will ever change my feelings for you, Jade...I love you... Now and forever..." He let her go by gently laying her back down on the couch. He kissed her again then left the shop quickly.

He had a HUGE STINKING BONE to pick with his father...

Jackie and Uncle just stood there feeling horrible for a minute when Jade's body began to glow again and they watched in shock. Her body form slowly changed back to her human form and then the light disappeared.

The two men could hear the life rushing back into her as she gasped for air loudly. They could hardly believe it! She was ok! She was alive! Really truly alive!

Since she had stretched her clothes when she was a dragon beast, she was practically naked. Barely covered by her ruined ragged clothing, she woke up in a daze.

Jade noticed right away that she was back to normal and jumped up with joy. "Jackie!! Uncle!!" she cried, running to them. They overlooked her nakedness and hugged her back, laughing and crying.

"Tohru! Quick! Come see! Jade is alive!" Jackie shouted upstairs. Tohru felt renewed hope flow into him as he raced downstairs to hug Jade.

"Jade! You're alive! You're ok! I knew that spell would work!" he cried, wiping away happy tears. Jade nodded, trying to cover herself with the rags that hung on her.

"Thank you so much, T! Jackie... Uncle..." she said graciously, feeling so happy. But then she realized Drago wasn't there.

"Where's Drago?" she asked, fretting. Where was her sweet gecko-butt? She wanted him to see that she was alright now. Uncle, Jackie, and Tohru exchanged unhappy worried looks.

"Uh, Drago left. He was really devastated when it looked like you were dead." Jackie explained, then Uncle chimed in.

"Uncle never saw demon-child cry so much! Uncle can hardly believe such a thing." he said, a serious no nonsense expression on his old face.

"Drago cried? For me?" Jade asked, happy and sad at the same time. She knew he loved her, but crying in front of Jackie, Uncle, and Tohru? Wow! Her love DID change him for the better.

But she was saddened with worry. Where was he now? He must be a nervous-wreck since he didn't know that she was still alive. She had to find him before he did something out of sorrow. Like kill people again...

"Believe what thing?" Jade added, wondering what Uncle meant. He softened his look and smiled at Jade.

"That Drago loves you truly... Uncle can see the good in him, though it is small, it is powerful." Uncle emphasized the last word to make a point.

Jade felt so happy to hear Uncle say all that. But she wanted to get into some new clothes and look for Drago right away. There was no time to waste.

"Thank you, Uncle! I'm so glad you finally can see what I see in Drago. And you too, Jackie. You saw it before Uncle did. Thanks for believing in me and Drago." she said, first hugging Uncle again, then Jackie.

"Um, maybe you better get some more clothes on, Jade." Tohru said, trying to avoid looking at her. Jade nodded and rushed upstairs fast.

"You're right, T! I've got to find Drago too! He must be heartbroken and I can't let him go on feeling like that! I'll be back when I find him!" she said from her old room when she used to live there.

She still used that room whenever she stayed over so it had plenty of her clothes ready for her to change into. Moments she headed out, but her family wanted to go with her.

"No, I can't afford to have you guys slow me down. Don't worry. I can get Section 13 to track him. It's our job to do that anyway and I'm sure I can find him faster with my agents combing the area." she said and called for a taxi cab.

She just hoped it wasn't too late to stop Drago from taking his sorrow out on innocent people. She couldn't wait to find him and have him hold her in his arms in that loving embrace she recognized and loved.

She would kiss him to death, er, well maybe not to death. But she would sure give him a big time smooching, that was for sure! As she got to Section 13, she found things all a turmoil.

"What's going on here, Carl?" she asked when she saw him running down the hall to the control room.

"Jade! Drago's been sighted in the Northeastern Woods! He must have escaped from his holding cell at Blue Ridge Prison!" Carl cried, believing the false reports Black made up about Drago being incarcerated.

"Jim went with his swat team to catch that beast. You should get over there right away!" he added.

"I'm on it! Thanks, Carl!" Jade said, running off, but he grabbed her arm. "Jade, I have to ask you... Is it really true that you have feelings for that monster?" he asked, worried about her state of mind.

"Let go of my arm, Carl. You're delaying my mission!" she snapped and yanked herself free. Carl watched her go and decided that her avoiding to answer his question meant she indeed was fond of Drago.

Jim was right! How could Jade still be the boss of Section 13 then if she favored the enemy? Shaking his head, he walked off. He didn't want to say anything bad about his boss in fear of being fired.

Suddenly, Chelsea pulled him aside and asked in a hushed voice, "I heard what you said to Chan and she totally avoided that question! She MUST be crazy for that evil monster Drago, for sure! Like I can't believe she's our boss, you know?" she said.

Even though Chelsea didn't look like an idiot, she often talked like a brainless twit. Carl shrugged, scared to say either way. Chelsea was a big time blabber mouth and had the habit of twisting other people's words around.

"I don't know. I've got to go, Chelsea. Lots of work to do." Carl said, escaping. Whew! But Chelsea got a hold of other people that were willing to listen to her gossip. Slowly, bad rumors began to spread about Jade...

Deep in the Northeastern Woods Jim was tracking Drago down with the Arcana and he was pleased how well this relic worked for him. It was like it was almost MADE for him and his magic.

Jim had told Carl he was going to catch Drago with his swat team, when he really only brought his army of Iso's. They were hunting that green beast right now and he was waiting to hear word from them.

He couldn't wait to see the look on that dumb animal's face when he blasted him to oblivion! Soon, very soon he would have Jade back in his arms where she belonged...

Elsewhere in the forest, Drago was trying to get to the entrance of Safe Haven so he could get to his childhood home in Hong Kong to look for his evil father.

He no longer sensed him in the state, so he might have gone back home, his original home. Drago knew where that palace was located at and he couldn't wait to rip his father's spine out for what he had done to him.

Being blinded by constant tears made traveling long and difficult. Thoroughly exhausted and stressed out, he paused by a tree and sat, leaning his head back and groaning in fatigue.

Tears slipped out the corners of his eyes as he stared up into the inky darkness shrouded around the trees. Seeing the tall wooden giants, Drago thought back to how his mother wanted him to protect her forest near their home.

He felt slight regret for burning down a forest he was supposed to protect, but then his demon side mentally punched him in the gut.

'Regret...? What kind of sissy sh-t is that? I'd burn that f-cking forest again if I had too...' he thought, closing his eyes and forced himself to get up even though his body begged him to stay put.

'Shut up! Stupid human limits this body's cursed with, I'm sick of it! You want to die, then DIE!' he shouted at himself, gritting his teeth.

"If I died, I still wouldn't see Jade... I'd go straight to Hell and she'd go to Heaven instead... D-mn it!" he cursed, then an Iso warrior popped out of the ground in front of him.

The teen cried out in surprise and backed up. In split-seconds, more Iso's appeared all around him. They wasted no time tackling him and to Drago's extreme disgust, they were actually able to overpower him!

They went to work beating the crud out of him. He could barely believe this was actually happening to him! Only his father was able to beat him up like this!

Drago choked up blood as an Iso beast bear-hugged him tightly. He attempted to breath fire in the Iso beast's face and succeeded, causing the creature to finally let him go.

He viciously slashed at the monster, making it explode in a puff of dissipating smoke. The other remaining Iso beasts jumped at him and he fought back, destroying one after another.

But more kept on coming. And coming and coming. Once he got rid of twenty, twice as many took their place. It never seemed to end!

Could this rotten day get any worse?? He struggled against ten of them as they were fighting him and he kicked them away. But they came back with a terrible vengeance.

They slammed him up against a tree and held him there with great force. Several more rushed up and helped keep him there. How could these dumb things be so strong all of sudden??

Suddenly, Jim appeared out of nowhere dressed in that silly red outfit, complete with mask. He was pleased, very very pleased to see his Iso's had Drago under control. At last!

"Hello, monster." Jim said, pulling off his mask. He had on a crazy grin of triumphant. Drago snarl-growled at his rival with great animosity.

"Hello, sh-tbag." he hissed, then breathed fire at him. Jim was ready for this and blocked the attack with a new spell. An Iso beast punched Drago's jaw upwards, pushing his head back hard.

Another Iso beast clamped its claw against Drago's throat and practically 'stapled' his neck to the tree trunk behind him. Drago let out a strangled cry of agony, choking on his own blood.

Jim laughed, feeling powerful seeing that. He held out the Arcana, arrogantly showing it to Drago even though the teen couldn't seen since he was being tortured.

"Now I have the power to kill you at last! I told you I'd be able to destroy you once I received the other half of the Arcana." Jim said, proudly.

"You need glasses! I'm not dead, but you will be!" Drago spat out hatefully through his blood flooded throat. Growling, Drago summoned all the strength left from his fatigued body. He threw the Iso's off himself and almost got free.

Again more Iso's appeared to replace the destroyed Iso's and they beat the fiery teen mercilessly. With the help of the Iso beasts holding Drago down, Jim got in several hits of his own with magic.

"D-mn! You're nothing, but a f-cking COWARD!" Drago said in a raspy strained tone. His throat was damaged from the Iso's so he couldn't breath fire anymore for awhile. But he could still use his claws to burn Jim into a lovely pile of ashes.

Jim dodged the fireballs as much as he could until he was hit in the left shoulder, then the right side. The attacks sent him flying like a rag doll. In seconds, Drago was on top of him and slashing his claws murderously.

The Iso beasts came to Jim's aid and yanked him off. Shrieking demonically, the Iso's took turns belting the teen in the gut and eventually flung him into another tree. It cracked as Drago fell to the ground, unmoving.

Jim, believing that he was dead, healed himself instantly with the help of the Arcana and happily went over to inspect Drago. Once he was a foot away, Drago sprang up from the ground and tackled his enemy.

"You f-cking d-mn bastard! H-ll, fight me without those idiotic morons!" Drago roared, definitely ready to kill Jim. He couldn't wait to sink his fangs into his meat and spray his blood all over the forest.

Jim used a chi blast to get the teen off of him and the Iso's came to help him get back on his feet. He chi blasted them too and they disappeared. One Iso remained and as if it was telepathically commanded to, it took the Arcana from Jim.

"Gladly, monster!" Jim yelled, taking a fighting stance. Drago growled a deep mean snarl, sounding very much like a full demon. He didn't waste time taking a stance himself as he immediately charged at Jim.

Jim blocked Drago's blows one after another, but it was clear Drago was simply too fast for him as he knocked him clear off his feet with one easy swipe of his thick tail. Jim fell to the ground, getting the wind slammed out of him.

Drago savagely rammed his horned elbow into Jim's gut, breaking through the flesh effortlessly. He rammed it over and over, creating plenty of nice bloody holes into Jim.

But since Jim's Iso beast was holding the Arcana for him, Jim was able to heal his wounds as quickly as they came. He was glad Drago didn't figure this part out yet otherwise, he'd be in trouble.

Drago was extremely disgusted to see this. When would that stupid human finally see that he could never win against the fiery teen, even with a power boost?

"GRRRUGH!" Drago growl-barked, glaring hatefully. "I said fight me without magic too, you d-mn motherf-cker!" He picked up Jim and threw him into a tree with bone-crushing strength. Even though he was dead tired, his strength was still something to be feared.

Jim hit the tree hard, crying out in shock and pain. He knew he'd be lunchmeat if he didn't get back on his feet right away, but he couldn't since his bones were broken from that last impact. So he used the Arcana's power boost to heal himself instantly again.

Good as new once more, Jim got up and waved his hand, inviting Drago to attack him again. The fiery teen snarled viciously. The last thing he needed was a smart-aleck human to insult him like this!

"D-mn, you are such a f-cking idiot! Do you WANT me to kill you? You ugly bag of sh-t!!!" Drago screamed, rushing at him and Jim finally fought him old school style.

Jim blocked Drago's attacks, while the fiery teen blocked Jim's attacks. This aggravated Drago to death. How could a stupid relic make this moron so strong?

"What's wrong, monster? Can't kill me as easily as you thought? That's because I'M the one who's going to kill YOU this time! You hear me you stupid d-mn beast?!" Jim screamed back, punching and kicking.

The two males were hand and claw locked then, pushing against each other's strengths. Through his rage, Drago thought of Jade just then and felt his power slipping away. He didn't want to live anyway now. Not without Jade...

"THEN GO AHEAD! KILL ME, D-MN IT!" Drago suddenly shouted, dropping to his knees and causing Jim to lose his balance. He was surprised by this unexpected change in his rival's fighting. Was he...crying???

"I just don't care anymore..." Drago said, giving up suddenly as the loss of Jade hit him hard again. His restrained sobbing could be heard quite well despite his efforts to keep his tears silent.

Jim was flabbergasted so much so that he temporarily forgot his anger. Why...how could a monster cry like a creature with compassion?

"...Why...?" Jim finally asked, his eyes narrowed. Was this some weird kind of new trick?

"Heh, oh yeah. You don't even know..." Drago scoffed through his tears.

"Know what? Tell me!" Jim shouted, getting mad again. What was this monster hiding??

"JADE IS DEAD, YOU DEAF AND STUPID IDIOT!" Drago's loud voice spooked some birds in a nearby tree to flee. They cried out in fright, causing more dread to Jim as he took in this terrible information.

"Jade's...dead...?" he asked in disbelief, feeling weak and sick suddenly. Drago bowed his head again. "My father killed her..." he said sadly, shaking his head while digging his claws into the grassy earth.

"WHAT?! And you just let him?! How could you?!" Jim yelled, falsely accusing the teen. Drago hissed venomously at him for this stupid assumption.

"You moron! He put a death bomb spell on her and I worked for the last two days trying to find the spell to save her life!" Drago snapped, wiping his tears away. It was bad enough he couldn't hide them from this stupid human.

"You're a D-MN liar!" Jim scowled, not believing at first. Drago glared at him disgustedly. How MORE stupid can this jerk get? Sheesh!

"I went to that shop Jade's uncles and sumo friend live at to help reverse the spell. Just ask them and see if I'm lying!" Drago said angrily.

Jim didn't know what to think. Finding out that Jade was dead made his soul heavy with sorrow, but he didn't want to believe it. Drago's face was wet again by new tears slipping down his scaly cheeks.

"I did everything I could to save her... But it just wasn't good enough! D-mn!" Drago said softly, more to himself as he pressed his fists to his temples in hurt saddened rage.

Jim was lost in confusion and distress. He never thought he'd see a monster cry like how a normal person would about something like this. It was like Drago did have a heart...

No! Jim refused to believe this. Jade couldn't be dead! This monster was just putting on a good show to get him off guard. Yeah, that had to be it! There was no way a killer like Drago had any decency in him. This was a trick!

"Get up and fight. I'm not going to fall for your lies." Jim said irritably. Drago got into his face suddenly.

"LIES?! LIES!?" he roar-barked directly in Jim's face. "You don't know how much I WISHED they were lies!!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK STUPID HUMAN SKULL! JADE'S DEAD! Just like you're going to be!"

Drago's claw latched onto Jim's throat and he immediately began to crush it. Jim barely got a squeak out as he mentally called for his Iso's to aid him.

Suddenly, Drago heard a noise behind him and sensed a human was there. The clicking sounds of a weapon Drago knew all too well alerted him to take action.

He whirled around and held Jim up as shield when an electrical ice beam flew out from the bushes. Jim screamed as he was hit by the beam.

Drago let Jim go the split-second before his enemy was hit by that beam. Seconds later, Jim fell to the ground unconscious. His last remaining Iso warrior disappeared at the same time.

Steve, one of Kepler's top students, shot at Drago again and again, but the fiery teen thrust out his wings and flew off quickly. He snatched something off the forest floor and was gone in a few moments.

Steve couldn't see where he was anymore, so he stopped firing. He wasn't sure if he had seen Drago fly away or if his mind was playing tricks on him. Either way, the beast was gone. The bad thing was that he had hurt Jim.

He rushed out of his hiding place in the bushes and went to Jim. He saw that Jim was out like a light and he began to worry like mad. This wasn't supposed to happen!

"Oh man! Jim? Jim! Wake up! Oh no, I'm so sorry!" Steve cried, knowing how strong these electrical ice guns were. Even though Jade made these guns illegal to use, they were the only ones that seemed to work on Drago.

But now Steve wished he hadn't used them afterall. He accidentally hurt Jim when he was trying to shoot Drago. He called for help at Section 13 when he couldn't get Jim to respond.

"Hurry, send help! Kulen needs medical attention!" he told dispatch. Then he went back to trying to wake Jim up.

"Wake up, man! Come on, don't die on me!" Carl said, doing CPR to resuscitate Jim. "Oh jeez, I'm going to go to jail for killing a commander! I'm so doomed!!"

But to Steve's relief, Jim began to breathe again. He was terribly cold and shaking like he was having seizures. Steve hoped Kulen would survive and that he wouldn't lose his job over this. He had a wife and four kids to support!

Eventually, help arrived along with Jade. She was extremely upset that Steve used one of those guns she made illegal in Section 13.

She made a point to why they should not use these powerful guns whatsoever. Anyone could get seriously hurt because of them. She had her agents take Jim to Section 13's infirmaries immediately.

She decided to keep on looking for Drago herself and told the rest of her agents to return to Section 13.

"With all due respect, Boss," Jared said, stopping her as she tried to go into the woods alone. "It's not safe for you to go by yourself to hunt for that monster."

Jade glared at his hand on her arm and yanked it free. "I'll be fine, Jared. I know how to handle Drago." she said. Just then a very good friend of Chelsea spoke up.

"I bet you do! That's because you always let him go!" Sally said, loud enough for the other agents to hear. Jade looked at Sally sharply.

"I have never let Drago escape, Sally! I simply don't want any of you coming with me, because you will only get hurt." Jade said, trying to defend her reasons for going alone.

"Yeah right! You want to go alone just so you and the green beast can have dirty sex together! That's why that monster has stopped killing people! It's because you are screwing with him! And you like it! Just admit it!" Sally shot back, angering Jade and surprising the other agents listening in.

Jade started to hear some of her agents whispering about her then. They kept their voices low, but she heard them anyway.

"Wow, Sally's really speaking her mind!" one agent said to another. "Yeah, I wish I had the guts to say it myself. But I don't want to get fired." the other agent said back.

"Isn't it against company policy for her to do that? I mean, really! Using sex to keep Drago from murdering people? Gross!"

"She shouldn't be running Section 13 if she is really doing that. What if he has her under a spell to kill us all later somehow? She can't be trusted! I won't listen to her commands anymore."

"I bet she lets Drago in Section 13 all the time. I bet she has sex with that monster in her office! No wonder she never likes taking calls when she's in her office!"

"Yeah, it's HER fault Hank and Jerry got killed during that poisoning incident! Someone should get her fired. I'm going to ask Captain Black about this...!"

"ENOUGH!" Jade shouted then, her body trembling rage. "One more word against me and my methods on handling Drago, I'll have you all suspended! I'm the boss, remember?! Now go back to your posts at Section 13! Marlone is still out there using children as prostitutes and I want him tracked down!"

"Whatever you say...Boss..." Sally said strangely and the other agents left only when she did. This was BAD! Now her agents were turning against her! What could she do?

Blinded with angry hurt tears, she ran into the woods. She had to find Drago before he really did start killing again. She checked Safe Haven, yelling out his name. Nothing.

She knew she had one last place to look. The house that used to be Drago's childhood home. But that evil dark ghostly demon was in the woods outside the other entrance of Safe Haven.

She swallowed her fear. She had to go, she just had to! She couldn't afford to let Drago go on without knowing she was alright. She wished he kept his cel phone, but he had left it at Uncle's shop.

Praying that she would be safe, she bravely stepped into the other entrance of Safe Haven that went to Hong Kong magically. Coming out to the other side, she saw the sun shining through the trees.

Shaking her head, she knew she'd never get used to this sort of thing. Night one second, then day the next second. Briskly she walked through the beaten trail that Drago created using his truck before. She wished she could run faster, getting to that house would take all day!

Paranoid that the evil thing would come for her, she half-expected it to appear any time. Little did she know it was following her far behind as soon as it sensed her. Soon...soon it would have its revenge one way or another!
