J2: The Deception
After having a shower together, Drago and Jade got ready to go back to San Francisco. They had seen Meechi's message saying how she would be staying with Shendu until she figured out a safe way to get away from him and get back home.
Thundering in Drago's truck, Jade worried for Meechi and she hoped she would be ok while that dark spirit thing was on the loose.
She planned on getting the spell to change Shendu back to stone as soon as she could get her 'mutinous agents problem' straightened out. She would need them to help with that stone spell afterall. She made herself forget about them for now.
Luckily, Jade and her fiancé didn't encounter the evil spirit when they went back to Safe Haven's second entrance. Once in Safe Haven, Drago took Jade to the beach house and showed her something.
"The Arcana!" she cried, picking it up. She looked at him, surprised. "Where did you find it?" she asked him. He took it from her and put it back in a box with a lock on it.
"That idiot Jim had it when he tried to kill me with it. I almost let him since it was when I thought you were dead. I'm relieved that you're not. I just can't live without you..." he said, touching her face lovingly. She held his claw to her cheek.
"Neither can I..." she replied, dabbing each of his clawed digits with kisses. He pulled her closer and kissed her passionately, both of them getting lost in their affections for each other.
Then real life hit Jade hard with a vengeance ruining her fun. Her agents were rebelling against her. What could she do? And Jim was hurt badly.
She dared not bring any subjects about Jim though, but she could about the agents. She had to confide with Drago about this. Maybe he knew what to do about them.
"I don't know what I'm going to do about my agents now. They think I'm letting you go free all the time and that I give you sex so you'll stop killing people. They won't listen to me anymore..." she told him sadly.
"They're really stupid then. I never said I would stop killing people, I said I'd slow down so I can be with you." Drago said, his nonchalant reply worrying his lover.
"Drago... I thought you would stop... For me..." she said, fearing that she might be wrong about him changing for the better completely. Her love had changed him, but she wanted it to change him good through and through.
"Jade... Please. Don't." he said, turning away from her. He locked the box with the Arcana in it and pushed it under the bed. Jade felt that distant feeling returning to her sorrow. He faced her once more suddenly as he continued.
"Don't ask me to not be myself... The only reason for me being alive is to kill humans and enslave them. That's my destiny, to rule...to be a demon. It's in my blood..." he told her, not wanting to address the distress he saw in her eyes.
"I...I thought...that since we're in love...you'd change and leave that old life behind forever and stay with me instead..." she said, bowing her head as tears slipped out. "I don't want to have to fight you again."
"Jade, we can still be together regardless. If we have to fight, I promise I'll go easy on you, don't worry." he said, trying to kiss her again, but she pushed him away.
"NO! Drago, please! Don't go back to being your old self again! Please! They'll crucify me back at Section 13! Especially now that they are noticing...things about us! I love you so much that I can't capture you no matter what...! I won't be able to live with myself knowing that I'm partially responsible for allowing you to hurt and kill people! You don't have to be evil! Please, I've been putting off my duties for so long, please just be good!" Jade shouted, trembling.
Jade knew she couldn't keep letting Drago get away with doing bad to evil things, but she loved him too much to really really stop him. And the only way to really truly stop him was to kill him. She just couldn't do that. Ever.
Letting him get away with doing criminal and sinful acts made her feel really guilty and troubled. She had a harder time ignoring it lately.
At first, she was able to since she thought she could fully change Drago to being good in the end. Then everything would be alright and patched up, acceptable.
But now, he was acting like he had no plans of ever turning good whatsoever (not even a little bit!) and they would be back at square one like at the abandoned warehouses near the docks. She did not want to be forced into fighting him like that again!
It would just be easier on her conscience if he turned good, but he behaved as if he was going to stay evil regardless. She had hoped he'd give up his evil ways for good, but he didn't want to.
"Jade, I don't think I can be good..." Drago replied in a soft low voice. This time Jade went to him and grabbed his shoulders, shaking him.
"Yes, you can! For us, I know you can!" Jade practically begged in a desperate tone. Sighing hard, Drago forced his demon blood to be quiet as he relented to his lover. Though not in the way she was hoping.
"Jade, the best I can do is what I've been doing lately... I'll try to stay this way for as long as I can." he said gently. "So, please...stop pushing me." he added irritably. "I just got you back from the brink of death. I don't want to keep arguing with you on this subject."
"Neither do I..." Jade replied, letting him put his arms around her then. "I just want us to be together." Drago hugged her close, lowering his head down over hers.
"We will, Jade... No matter what, we'll always be together. I promise you that." he whispered, his words telling her how much he ached for her.
Of course she knew he was crazy for her, but being reminded of it always made her feel closer to him. It helped her forget her worries about their relationship and the future of it.
Thankfully that distant feeling left quickly this time. She almost hated that terrible sad feeling as much as the crippling fear Drago used to instill into her in the old days.
"I've thought of a way to get those stupid agents to obey you again." Drago said, running his claws through her soft short black hair. He breathed in her sweet scent, his love for her always in bloom. Never could he get enough of her, never!
"How?" she asked, looking up at him. She could see his passion for her through his eyes, shining strong and bright. She was sure he could see the same in her eyes for him.
"We'll have to have a convincible battle in front of them. I'm sure we can make it look real enough so those morons will finally get off your case. What do you think?" Drago suggested. Jade thought it over and the possible risks.
"That might work, but I'm afraid that you might get hurt." she said, causing her lover to scoff. "Oh come on now! Like you can physically hurt me..." he said with a smile.
"No, stupid!" Jade shot back, whacking his shoulder hard. "My agents have access to those guns that can hurt you! I think Agent Tang is sneaking them in and I can't stop someone who doesn't work for me. I don't think even Captain Black can stop him, he won't listen. I bet Tang has given everyone those guns for protection despite my orders."
"Well, I doubt they'll be firing those guns if we're locked in battle." Drago said, cuddling her. Jade welcomed his seductive, yet gentle kisses. She kissed him back in the same manner. She felt her love soar as he hugged her, nuzzling.
There was no mistaking that he cherished having her in his arms, dabbing his kisses all over her neck. He breathed in her sweet scent once more, loving every bit of her. After almost losing her, he really appreciated that she was alive, more than ever.
"I don't know, Drago... It's too risky." she said as he teased her neck with his fiery lips. "Ha! You're worried about taking on a risk? What have you done with my Jade, you imposter?" he asked playfully. He began to tickle her then.
"Drago, stop!" she cried, squirming away. He chased after her and tackled her to the bed. His claws tickled her sides continuously. Due to his strength, he easily overpowered her attempts to make him stop.
"Where's the real Jade, you faker? Reveal your true identity!" he said, laughing with her. "I know how the real Jade tastes, let's see what flavor you are!" He licked the side of her face hard, leaving a thick trail of gooey saliva.
"EWWW! You freak!" she screamed, punching and kicking. Drago took his time licking his lips, taking in the 'flavor' of his lover. "Hmm... You taste just like how you're supposed to." he said thoughtfully.
"Yeah and what do I taste like, you pervert?" she asked, rolling her eyes. "It's a cross between stinkin' sweat and burnt mung beans, with a hint of garlic." he replied with a naughty grin.
"Oh, you're going to get it now, gecko-butt! You're really going to get it!" she yelled, smiling. He let her push him onto his back on the bed. She kissed his neck then, running her tongue over his scales.
"What's my flavor?" he purred, caressing her back as she straddled him. She sucked and bit into him several times before answering. Drago felt his eroticism growing as her mouth worked on his neck. He absolutely enjoyed this.
"It's kinda a dry rough sandpapery taste with a hint of lice." she teased, rubbing her hands over his bare chest. He growled friskily, his tail dancing about with joy.
"Lice, huh? Now, now, Jade. You know very well I'm well groomed and super clean. There's no way this dragon's got lice." he said, rubbing his claws up and down her arms.
The lovers hugged, touching and feeling one another with great fondness. Jade happily closed her eyes as Drago kissed her amorously. She squeezed his shoulders as she returned his kisses with some powerful ones of her own.
He clutched her tightly to himself, relishing her presence and that she was in his arms. The fact that she was still alive and well made him cherish her more than he ever did before.
"I love you..." he purred, touching her face affectionately. She rubbed noses with him. "And I love you back, my sweet gecko-butt." she said, petting his cheek.
After several moments of snuggling, the two lovers headed back to Jade's house. Jade decided that fighting with Drago in front of her agents would be the only incentive to get them to believe she wasn't fond of him (even though she really was).
'Capturing' him and then 'handing' him over to Captain Black to be 'returned' to Blue Ridge Prison was the plan. She called Captain Black on her cel phone and explained to him what happened recently.
Jade let Drago talk to him as well, telling Black that he did nothing to breach the agreement he had with him. Black promised he would 'play along' with this new 'capture' to calm everyone down at Section 13.
She assured Black that she'll do her best to keep everything under control until he got there. Then she turned the cel phone off. She was travelling on Drago's back as he was running through the forest to get back to her home.
Once they were at the edge of the forest and near the city, Drago bent down so Jade could get off his back. "Go to Section 13 and show everyone you have this." he said, taking a gold chain necklace with a red shiny stone hanging from it out of his pocket.
It was his mother's jewelry, but he was sure she wouldn't mind if he borrowed this necklace. It was one of her least favorites since Shendu made her wear it when she rather wear something else. She did not like this piece of jewelry whatsoever as too many bad memories were attached to it.
"Let's pretend I really want to take it from you since it gives you special powers over me, whatever. We can have a fight over it in front of your agents and when they see how vicious I am to you, they'll wise up and listen to you again. There'll be no doubt to them that we're enemies." he said, slipping the necklace over Jade's head.
"Ok... But don't get too vicious, alright? I don't want to be forced to really kick your butt." she said, hugging him close. He held her tightly to his robust frame with delight.
"Oh, I hope that you do..." he purred, kissing the top of her head before laying his cheek against it. "Then I'll have a good excuse to beat the ever living goodie-goodie chi out of you."
Jade made a face. Why'd he have to sound so happy saying that sort of thing? Hmm...
"Is that a challenge I hear? A real challenge?" she asked, grinning. He gently nipped her nose, smiling back.
"Oh, you bet it is, little missy. I've been thinking about when we'd fight again. I absolutely LOVE the way your tiny tits jump when you try to kick me in the face..." he said impishly.
"Tiny!" Jade shot back, miffed. Drago laughed sexily, giving her a quick reassuring kiss. "Calm down. Your pretties here are big enough, don't worry." he said, squeezing them with each of his claws.
Jade shoved his naughty claws away. "Yeah whatever. You know, I really hate when you pinch my breasts so hard. It hurts, you jerk!" She got turned off and gave him a defiant glare, turning away from him. He followed her instantly.
"Ok, ok! Sorry!" he replied, grabbing her shoulder and making her look at him again. "I'll wait outside Section 13 for a while before I attack. I'm going to take the Talismen too, so you can go ahead and try and stop me." he said, smiling proudly.
This was going to be fun! He often thought of when he could fight with his pretty little miss again. He very much enjoyed seeing her sexy body jump around for him as she kicked butt.
"Alright..." Jade said, feeling strange. This was weird! She's the boss of Section 13 and she's letting her naughty lover set up a fake fight show so her agents would believe she hadn't betrayed them by being fond of the enemy.
"Plus, if I get any of the Talismen, I get to keep them." Drago added, his grin growing wider and wider. Jade looked at him, worried about him. Was he discreetly trying to return to his old ways?
"You'll return them afterwards, right?" she asked. He laughed charmingly, shaking his head.
"No." he replied, smiling almost evilly. She glared, narrowing her eyes.
"Drago! My agents and I need the Talismen for help on our missions! You know that!" she cried, not wanting to give up those stone power discs.
"Yeah, I know that." he purred, happily smiling still like he knew something important that she didn't. What was he up to really??
"Then, give them back. Please." she said, avoiding his playful eyes. She was sure she had some sort of control over him since they were lovers, she thought she could make him behave.
But he had plans on showing her that he could not be tamed and getting her mad at him would make their fake fight look more believable to the people watching them.
"Nope. Nothing doing. Once I get them, they are mine forever. You can always try to take them from me later... Actually, I hope that you will. We definitely need to spar more often. It's so much fun!" he said, his eyes shining with flirtatious spunk.
Jade shook her head, going up to him and slipping her arms around him. "We can spar, but Drago you need to give back any Talismen you take. Please." she said, not wanting to fight him to get those amulets returned.
He snuggled her lovingly, enjoying this. It was like he could be remotely like his old self, yet have Jade as his willing lover as well. Though he'd be on 'training wheels' while having fun being his old self, it was better than nothing.
Ever since he got the Sky demon chi, he yearned to be like his old self again. To kill freely and to take what he wanted. The killing part would have to be done behind Jade's back, but he could still take what he wanted in front of her.
Just for spite, which was all in a playful nature now; he would take the Talismen and keep them. Afterall, they were his father's and thus, they were his too. His dad wasn't using them, so Drago should have them instead.
He kissed her slowly and romantically. "Jade... The Talismen are mine by birthright. They were my father's and so they are mine too. It's not hard to understand." he purred sweetly.
Jade swallowed hard. What he was saying did make sense. The Talismen were Shendu's magical charms and Drago was his son, so they were his too for real, just like he said.
"Ok, ok. I get it. But Section 13 really benefits from having them, so please let us keep them..." she whispered, hoping to get her gecko-butt to behave on this. She needed those things to STAY in Section 13! Drago chuckled sexily deep in his throat.
"It'll go like this, Jade. If I take any, then they are mine until you take them back. I promise I'll go easy on you, don't worry. Now get going. Do you want your agents to trust you again or not?" he said, dabbing kisses on her lips as he spoke.
She sighed hard, having a sneaky suspicion that her lover was trying to return to his old ways already, though subtlety. It was those darn evil wings making him like this!
Once this 'fight' was over, she was going to ask Uncle to help her find the spell to remove the Sky demon chi from Drago once and for all.
Unfortunately, she feared he would be very upset at her for it. But it had to be done. She could see she didn't have much time left to spare. The Sky demon chi was already ruining her lover for the worse.
"Alright. Wait about half an hour then you can come in and we'll spar up a storm. I'm going to make sure you don't get those Talismen since you won't share them. You know my organization needs them more than you do, so I'm really going stop you from getting to the vault." she said, letting him kiss her repetitively.
"Ohh yeah! That's what I'm talking about, sweetie!" Drago exclaimed with joy. "I definitely want you to try to stop me. Which you won't be able to, but I love seeing you try."
"Uh, yeah. Whatever." she replied, knowing he was getting more weird by every passing moment. She better get this over with and then get Uncle to help her find the right spell to remove Drago's overabundance of evil chi.
She didn't want to admit it, but that old paralyzing fear she had of him was trying to return slightly. She did NOT want to be scared of him like she used to be in the past. She needed her confidence and spunk, they made her who she was.
He finally let her go and she headed towards Section 13 immediately. She was nervous and giddy, knowing one of Section 13's Most Wanted was going to attack soon.
And she was vaguely allowing it! Sheesh, if any of her agents ever found out about this, they'd never trust her again. They would instantly crown Jim the new boss of Section 13 for sure then.
Oh well, she didn't have time to think about that stuff now. She had to get to Section 13 and show the necklace to as many people as she could to get them to believe she had some sort of power over Drago.
Then she stopped. No. They'd never fall for something that strange, so she decided not to say anything about it. Besides they might not believe her and think it was a gift from Drago instead.
It would only be more proof that they were fond of each other. So she hid it under her collar and flagged down a taxi.
As she rode back to work, she hoped Jim was alright. Even though she was wary of him, she didn't want him to die. She didn't want any of her agents to die.
Even though Jim was fruity and possibly dangerous, she didn't want anything bad to happen to him. She had to come to terms that she couldn't save him and she had lost him as a friend too.
He wanted her love badly, but she couldn't give it to him. She had given her heart to Drago instead and she was glad she did. She would never regret picking Drago over Jim.
Jade didn't know how to really say or explain it, but she could tell and knew that Drago loved her more than Jim ever could love her.
As she went to the mainframe computer room, she checked up the latest reports and activities. Thankfully, her agents behaved normally and they obeyed her commands on simple matters like checking up on this or that.
Later, she paid a visit to Jim to make sure he was okay. She also wanted people to notice that she cared for her fallen agents. He appeared to be sleeping soundly. She checked his charts and they said he was stabilized and improving.
Satisfied, she was about to leave when Jim struggled to say something to her. Knowing she would look heartless if she left right then, she turned around and went to him.
"Y-you're...alive..." Jim gasped out, relieved and happy to see that Jade was just fine. He tried to get out of bed, but Jade made him lay back. Her kindness raised his spirits.
She nodded, straightening and adjusting his blankets around him. She couldn't ignore him now when he was injured like this. She knew how lonely he was most of his life, yet she couldn't help in that department since she didn't fall in love with him.
Jade decided to be a little nicer to him since he was hurt so badly now. Later she would stay away from him to avoid further conflicts. It was safer that way.
"Yes, but it's only because of...him." she said, knowing Jim would know who 'him' was. He narrowed his eyes, hatred overtaking him fast just being reminded of the green beast.
"What...what do you mean? He said you were dead...!" Jim retorted, instantly annoyed. Jade shook her head, wishing she didn't have to explain this stuff to him.
It was just too complicated and Jim would never understand, nor accept that Drago's love saved her life. She was sure that Jim would be dead-set hearing anything like that. But she had to tell him at least that much.
"I was, but he saved me...with his love." she said, knowing Jim's next reply would be most likely negative. She was right.
"That doesn't even make any d-mn sense." he spat with great animosity. "How can his 'love' do anything like that? I bet he set everything up even, to make you believe such nonsense! HE doesn't love you, Jade! But I do! Why don't you care? Will you ever care...?"
Jade put her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes at him. "Jim, please just stop! He does love me and I love him, end of story! I'm sorry, but I just don't love you. I can't, because I love him. So quit chasing after me! I'm taken and that's it!" she cried, getting angry.
Jim stared at her viciously, making her take a step backwards away from him. Sheesh, if looks could kill!
"You only think he loves you because you're under a powerful spell. Don't worry, Jade. Once I free you, you'll thank me...and come to me, like you're supposed to..." Jim said darkly, freaking Jade out.
"Jim, I-" Jade tried to say, but then there was a loud explosion that shook the walls of the room. She rushed out and to the main middle section of the building.
She saw Drago had blown a huge hole in the north wall on the second floor. Her agents were already trying to fend off the fiery teen with an assortment of weapons. Thankfully, they were not using those electrical ice guns like she was sure they might.
Drago lazily blew fire at them, making the agents scatter. Jade raced over to where Drago was slowly making his way to the vaults. Without warning, she leapt into the air and kicked him in the side, sending him over the railing.
Screaming, he fell to the first floor and Jade used a nearby pole to slide down on. Growling, he pounced on her and flung her into an office desk, getting the attention they wanted.
Her agents swarmed around the area, weapons drawn. Jade got up from the floor, rubbing her sore side. Sheesh! She thought he said he'd go easy on her! It didn't feel like it!
She ran at him and he was hunched over a bit, like he was going to catch her. With his claws ready, he swiped at her savagely, snagging her uniform here and there and tearing some nasty holes.
She felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up. He could easily slice her in half accidentally, she had to be really careful! She kicked for his face and punched wherever she could.
Although he was blocking most of her attacks, he allowed her to belt him in the gut and knock him down on his butt. He had a hard time not grinning. This was the action he was craving!
"Give yourself up, Drago!" she cried, confusing the agents who were certain that she was fond of him. The way they were fighting looked like they were hated enemies!
Maybe Jim and Chelsea were wrong about their fearless leader. It was obvious that she truly was the only one who could handle Drago. Look how she could fight him without being killed instantly!
"Now why should I?" he asked, lashing his tail. His arched claws flared up with burning hot flames as he threw fireballs at Jade sloppily, missing her by inches on purpose.
She was really glad he wasn't aiming well otherwise she would be toast. The others watching did not notice Drago's uncaring attempts to hit her with his fire and believed these fireballs to be real attacks to harm their boss.
Some agents fired their laser weapons at the fiery teen, but all they succeeded in doing was making him angry. He forced himself not to butcher them. Breathing fire at the floor near their feet made those agents retreat quickly.
"Fall back! All agents, fall back! I don't want anyone getting hurt here! This is between me and Drago only! Don't get involved!" Jade yelled, waving her arms.
Hearing the nearby agents saying positive things in favor of her, Jade felt relieved. They seemed to believe that this fight was real. Maybe things were going to be alright again finally.
She still had to 'capture' Drago though. She wondered on how to do that and make it look believable and not staged. She couldn't exactly beat him, but she had to try anyway.
"Just make this easier on yourself, Drago. Give up and come along quietly." Jade said, taking another fighting stance. Drago grinned playfully back, growl-purring at her.
"Now where's the fun in that?" he asked, meaning it for real. Going easy on her or not, he would never just 'give up and go quietly'. That just wasn't him.
"I want you to MAKE me give up! MAKE me stop! Come on, I dare you!" he shouted, his playful smirk proud and wide. He charged at her at top speeds, barely giving Jade time to blink before he tackled her like a football player.
They plowed into a cluster of computer desks, knocking over two of them. The stuff on the desks crashed to the ground, the noise loud and deafening.
Jade wished he would stop sparring with her like this. The mess they were making would cost Section 13 a bundle! They rolled around on the floor, punching and kicking.
Drago was really roughly 'playing' with her here and she struggled to keep him at bay. He was stronger than he was when she first fought him and that was really bad!
Those wings had to be giving him more strength, she just knew it! After a while, she began to wonder if he really was just 'playing' or letting loose here...
When he friskily 'gnawed' her leg, he actually bit her calf just enough to break the skin. Instantly she kicked him hard in the chest and finally got him off her.
He growled at her viciously, snarling and hissing like a rabid monster. Was he acting or did he really mean it? Jade couldn't tell and was getting worried.
In the intense short scuffle, Jade discovered she was bleeding not just from her leg, but her chest and arms too. That dumb gecko! Why couldn't he be more careful with those darn sharp claws and teeth of his?
She felt wetness on her chin and wiped it with the back of her hand. She saw bright red blood and looked at him angrily. His eyes locked onto hers, startling her.
His eyes had the same homicidal crazed lust they had back when she fought him at the docks. To her disturbed disgust, he licked her blood from his claws while smirking quite evilly at her.
"Well, aren't you going to stop me?" he purred wickedly, lashing his tail. He began to advance on her again with his claws out menacingly. Upset and confused, Jade swung her leg up high for the side of his head.
He caught her leg with his left claw and tossed her across the room. She crashed into a support beam and pain exploded throughout her body. Her agents saw that she needed help and fired mercilessly at the teen.
He dodged their blasts with his dragon speed and made his way to the vault that held the Talismen. Jade noticed this and screamed for her agents to stop him, even though she didn't want to get them involved.
She started to think that maybe Drago had tricked her...again. Maybe this was his plan all along, to take the Talismen! If he got any of them, she would have to really fight him to get them back.
She had a sinking feeling that she would not succeed in getting them back from her gecko-butt. He even had a right to take them since they were his father's property.
Was this some sort of weird controlling thing with him? She couldn't be sure, but it definitely felt like it. It was like she had to be the lowly begging dog to get back helpful aid to her company just because he said so.
Why was he doing this? Jade narrowed her eyes. It had to be because of that Sky demon chi! It just HAD to be! Well, she was going to 'stop' him one way or another. Those wings DEFINITELY had to go ASAP!
